Research and Art Book project focusing on women in the Soviet Union and countries which replaced it after it fell in 1991 . GOGO is a book enclosed in the open form of an imaginary glossy woman magazine. In Georgian language Gogo means GIRL .

Conceptual project that combines the aesthetics of magazines for women  from the communist era  ( ex.   Soviet Woman  printed since 1945 ) with those more modern : glossy,  more image , photography based  publications for women  . Content  consists of columns typical for  similar magazines: interviews, travel, fashion, health, food, etc. -  and in a series of well researched interviews and essays discusses various aspects shaping an image and life of women in described areas and proposed  time -frame. 
 
Visually designed as   an “ imaginary monthly”  magazine devoted to the topic of women  in the Soviet Union and in the countries which replaced it after it fell in 1991 .While informative and well researched on the level of written content , Tongue-in-cheek elements of visual design  serve as an added  artistic value / comment  to the project . 
 
In the sense described above, that magazine is envisioned as  a mini-compendium of knowledge about the positions, rights, achievements and development prospects of women born or raised in communist countries, told from a contemporary perspective without the limits of Soviet propaganda. Based on detailed research  the idea is to translate my findings  into an attractive visual publication imitating the style of modern Woman Magazine - while being a stand alone Book project .
 
Justyna Mielnikiewicz is behind the concept of the Magazine - she researched the topic, conducted all interviews and illustrated  the issue  ( with her photographs , collages, drawings  but also archive materials from Georgia National Museum ).
